About 6th Ave Spectacles

An optician-owned boutique optical in Tacoma with personal service, unique frames, and thoughtful eyewear guidance.

Meet Angela Sienda

Personal eyewear care, built from decades of optical experience.

Hello, my name is Angela Sienda. My husband Ted and I own 6th Ave Spectacles.

I first got into the optical industry in 1984 when I attended Seattle Central College and earned my AAS degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing. I worked as a licensed optician for retail opticals in the Seattle area and always enjoyed helping people find frames that fit well and feel like them.

I love frame selection and adjustments. I believe adjusting glasses is an art.

Why 6th Ave Spectacles was created

After years in optical and ophthalmic lab work, Angela saw the industry shift from service-focused care toward selling. She wanted to create an optical shop where people could receive personal attention, honest guidance, unique frames, and fair pricing.

6th Ave Spectacles is located on the lower level of the 6th Ave Goddess short term rentals in the 6th Ave Business District of Tacoma. Because the building is owner-operated and the shop works by appointment, customers receive a calmer, more personal experience.
